SemiBold is a striking, monochromatic sculptural resurrection of a semi-detached family residence in North Bondi. Covertly integrated into a streetscape of comparable sameness, the home has been washed in Monument's elegantly dramatic tones, extending across rendered masonry on the lower level and then abodo timber cladding above. The dark uniformity of the external palette accentuates the precision of the home’s architectural composition, drawing attention to the perfect symmetry of its form and the expressive warmth of its material textures.

Extending outwards, an expansive new kitchen and combined butler’s pantry and laundry have been designed in accord with modern living patterns and consideration for the future. Upstairs, a new sanctuary has been cultivated to include two children’s bedrooms at the front and an expansive master suite at the rear with a Juliette balcony overlooking the garden.

Sharp angles and large windows, particularly a striking double-height feature that floods the centre of the house with light, transform SemiBold’s formerly dim spaces into bright, welcoming areas.
